Yaniga commented on what it's like being a Student-Athlete

She explained what her biggest challenge is, "The biggest challenge of being a student athlete I would say is time management. Balancing school work classes clubs and outside jobs to make money can get overwhelming. Especially during season when there are times where we have 2 to 3 practices a day. you have to build your whole schedule around your sports schedule."

Yaniga explained the benefits of being a student-athlete, "The benefits are it’s enjoyable to be a part of a team and support each other through different avenues of life. It also has taught me a good work ethic that I can carry on to the real world outside of school when I have my real job. And of course the benefit of actually playing the sport is fun. You get to make a lot of memories and traveling with the team for different games is always a very fun experience. It also teaches you a lot of life values that you can take in to your repertoire, such as learning to work with others, being responsible, being accountable and being attentive to your life not just the sport but everything else in life has to be in check at all times." she stated.
